Location of  “Baikal Polar 105-Meridian Camp”:

In the middle of Lake Baikal on 105 Longitude of direct ice traverse from Listvyanka settlement (western shore) to Tankhoy station (eastern shore), around 80 km from the city of Irkutsk.

Purposes  of “Baikal Polar 105-Meridian “  Camp:
- provide  unique overnight accommodations on the ice of Lake  Baikal, the world’s deepest fresh water one,
- function as an acclimatization base for the participants of expeditions,  aimed to be  a starting point of some  expeditions  to be launched in winter of 2005,
- as  a transit overnight point for groups of tourists on “Ice Walking Trips Across Lake Baikal” and other special winter soft adventure trips,
- Baikal Winter Team-Building Center for Corporate Clients,
-  Outdoor Survival Skills Training Camp  under auspices of Emergency & Rescue Team

Accommodation facilities and camp features:

- tents  and teepees  with interior  designed to keep you warm during the days and nights ( heated with stoves, floor made of special boarding) surrounded by ice fence that forms up a unique courtyard protected from prevailing winds ,
