Ethnographic Expedition by 4-WD “From Lake Baikal to Lake Hovsgol and Darhad Conclave (Mongolia)” 
 

During celebration of Sagan Sar (Mongolian Lunar New Year) by Mongols “Baikal Discovery” and  “Nomads-XXI” started out  on unique expedition from Lake Baikal  to Lake Hovsgol  and Darhad conclave (Mongolia) to visit sacral sites of the northern Mongolia nomads and film their customs, habits, rituals and festivities...

On March, 29,2004,  Baikal Discovery and Sputnik-Baikal made a special trip by air cushioned hover craft on ice of Lake Baikal  to  the spot of their  future   “Baikal Polar 105-Meridian” Ice Camp that the above 2 travel companies under auspice of Open World Association  plan to open on January, 30, 2005.  During the trip the technical evaluation of the location of the future camp and adjustments for its planning were made.

TCS Charter Flight

For the first time in the History of international tourism of Siberia, “Baikal Discovery” hosted the Charter flight from USA with 60 american tourists aboard coming to discover the city of Irkutsk and Baikal area on tour program “Nomads of the North”,operated by “Baikal Discovery”.
